Valuable Star Wars Memorabilia

Star Wars fans are known for their enthusiasm for the films, characters, and collectible memorabilia. But some items have been sold for hundreds of thousands of dollars, making Star Wars memorabilia some of the most valuable collectibles on the market.

The Star Wars Legacy

Star Wars first entered the public consciousness in 1977, with the release of the first film in a series that has culminated into 2 trilogies. Merchandise around the films includes action figures, books, video games, comic books, T.V. programs, and others.

It has become an iconic part of modern day culture, and has led many enthusiasts to pay large sums of money for memorabilia.

The T.I.E. Fighters from Star Wars Episode IV

Miniatures were used to create many of the spectacular battle scenes in the films. The T.I.E. Fighter played a pivotal role in the first Star Wars film, making it instantly recognizable.

As a result, the miniature used was sold for over $402,500 in 2008, making it one of the most expensive Star Wars pieces sold.

Luke Skywalker’s Lightsaber

Chewbacca Head

Actor Peter Mayhew portrayed Chewbacca, one of the most memorable supporting characters in the Star Wars series. A head mask worn for the film was sold in 2012 for $140,000.

Darth Vader Mask and Armor

Darth Vader was the villain in the first trilogy, and is another iconic symbol in film history. His mask and armor are instantly recognizable around the world and personifies the Dark Side of evil.

The mask and shoulder armour was purchased in 2003 at $70,000.

The Cloak of Obi-Wan

Actor Sir Alec Guinness played Obi-Wan Kenobi, the guiding figure of Luke Skywalker. The cloak worn by the actor was sold for over $95,000 in 2007.

Star Wars memorabilia is one of the most expensive set collectibles on the market.
