How sales can make a shopper spend more

Some shoppers simply can't pass up a good sale, and they'll frequently talk about how much money they saved on their recent purchase. But are these buyers actually saving money, or spending more of it?

A recent article on Moneysense says those addicted to sales are actually costing themselves money. Many buyers feel compelled to purchase something when it's on sale, even if they don't particularly need the item. Some actively seek out sales even if they have no prior intent to purchase anything at the store.

While ads claiming 50 percent off may be alluring, buyers should resist this temptation, according to the news source. This isn't to say that they should be paying full price. When it comes to things the buyer needs, and has thought about in advance, waiting for a sale is the best way to score an item at a low price. But this is different from buying something every time there's a sale.

Less disciplined shoppers may have built up quite a collection of items over the years. Those who aren't careful can soon find their house becoming more cluttered than they'd like. Fortunately, there are cheap Toronto self storage rates available for individuals who'd like to get some of their items out of the house. Self storage allows these items to be easily accessed at any time while freeing up space in a home or apartment.

Jiffy Self Storage, a leader in Toronto storage solutions, is currently running a contest on their website for a free iPad 3. Visitors to the site simply need to match a few Canadian landmarks and they'll be entered to win the iPad or one of several other prizes.
