Women optimistic about economy, business

Over the past decade, the amount of women-owned businesses throughout Canada has only increased by 5 percent. According to the Toronto Star, some people think that it might be due to the fact that there is an “absence of a national women’s entrepreneurial strategy, a lack of supplier diversity initiatives, and a shortage of commercial lending.” By the end of 2011, a survey revealed that about 1.1 million of the companies registered in Canada were small businesses. Seventeen percent of the businesses are women-owned, according to The Star.

Individuals who are looking to start their own businesses in Canada should look into Toronto document storage spaces. By renting a storage unit, company managers will be able to operate some of their business out of the space, which can be beneficial if they don’t have enough room to hold all their documents in their current space.

A report conducted by Web.com Group, Inc. and the National Association of Women Business Owners revealed that 81 percent of women entrepreneurs are optimistic about the business endeavors they will take on in 2013. Web.com Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer, Roseann Duran said women are focused on keeping their customers engaged.

“Women business owners are laser focused on reaching new customers, and their strategy for doing so is focused on improving their businesses’ online presence,” she said. “This is great news for time-strapped consumers, as they can expect to have an improved and more socially engaged online experience with many of their favorite businesses in 2013.”

Jiffy offers businesses plenty of options for Toronto storage, whether one needs to store filing cabinets or office supplies. What’s more, the company is currently holding a contest for a new iPad 3, which is a device that just about every business person could use to help improve productivity.
