Avid coin collectors are in for a treat, as the world's largest pure gold coin will be on display in the Toronto area for a short time.
On November 3, Canadian PMX, one of Canada's leading precious metal distributors, opened its showroom in Richmond Hill, Ontario. To help recognize the occasion, Royal Canadian Mint distributor will display a coin that's face value is more than $5 million.
The 100 kilogram Gold Maple Leaf Bullion coin is .99999 pure gold and is available for public viewing in the Canadian PMX showroom on November 3 only.
This isn't the first time the pricey coin has been on display in the Greater Toronto Area. It first made its appearance there in May 2007.
The company stated that smaller versions of the collector coin can be purchased through Canadian PMX. The cost will set collectors back approximately $675,000.
While coins such are these are too expensive for most Canadians, collections are special items that Canadians make an extra effort to preserve to increase their value. Cheap storage lockers can be rented through Jiffy Self Storage to help preserve timeless treasures.
