Survey: Brits looking for ways to expand their homes

A new survey has revealed that many British people would love to have more space to entertain their guests, and renting a storage container could be an affordable way to do so.

A British self storage company recently conducted a survey asking which areas of a house homeowners would like to have a bit more room in. The most popular answer was the living room, although Scottish survey respondents would rather have more space in the dining room.

Among those who said living room, the most popular answer overall was more space for sofa seating. In fact, 44 percent of women said this is what they would use the extra space for. Men, meanwhile, would rather use the newfound room to install an entertainment center or large TV.

The survey was prompted by another study, which found that many British citizens are entertaining at home rather than going out, mainly to save money.

In this economy, just about everyone is looking to save money and maximize the space in their homes. Fortunately, there are solutions for affordable self storage in Toronto and many other cities. Storage containers are a smart investment for those who want to hang onto their items without paying more money for a larger apartment or home.
