People oppose Ford’s casino plan

Over the past few months, several people have come forward in opposition of Toronto Mayor Tom Ford's plan to build a casino in the city. According to the Toronto Star, Ontario Premier Kathleen Wynne said that although Ford insists the casino will generate enough money to fund a new transit system, she doesn't believe that is the case. She said she predicts the casino will only bring in tens of millions of dollars in revenue, and that the new transit system would cost hundreds of millions.

"We need $2 billion a year to build transit so there's no one fix for this and certainly a casino is not the panacea on this file," she added.

Another Toronto resident opposing the idea is First Capital Realty CEO Dori Segal. He told the Globe and Mail the casino would ruin the reputation of the Liberty Village neighborhood, where he's lived for a decade.

"We unequivocally don't believe a casino belongs in a neighbourhood and we don't think people want to live next to a casino," he said.

If any residents in the area have found they're running out of space to keep their extra items, it would be a good idea to rent a Toronto self storage space.

Jiffy offers businesses plenty of options for Toronto storage, whether one needs to store filing cabinets or office supplies. What's more, the company is currently holding a contest for a new iPad 3, which is a device that just about every business person could use to help improve productivity.
