According to a recent Canadian Real Estate Association report, Canadian home sales increased 3.6 percent in May on a month-over-month comparison, accounting for the largest gain in more than two years, while prices hit an average of $388,910, up 3.7 percent during the same period of time.
"The increase lifted national activity almost to where it had been just before new mortgage rules came into force last summer, marking the first noteworthy increase in the past nine months," read a statement from the CREA.
