There's no stopping the Toronto traffic.
Toronto's level of road congestion has surpassed that of Los Angeles, and in order to combat the steady steam of vehicles on local roads, the Toronto Region Board of Trade hopes an increase of sales tax, gas tax, commercial parking levy and high occupancy toll lanes will pay for a public transit expansion.
For those already tired of their daily commute, a Toronto self storage unit is a safe and affordable way to store a vehicle.
The board of trade and community groups such as CivicAction are in support of the transportation plan, which is a 25-year project that would cost roughly $50 billion.
"Nobody wants to pay substantial new taxes that just disappear into the common pot," said Zack Taylor, a University of Toronto city studies professor. "This is why they hated the vehicle registration tax in Toronto. They got a bill for $60 on their birthday and it just disappeared into the city's operating budget. It just felt like it was punitive without any obvious result."
Self storage can be a smart way to hang on to valuable items without taking up room in a house or apartment. For Toronto storage solutions, there's no better than Jiffy Self Storage.
