Toronto media giant stepping into realty market

A Toronto-based media giant looks to make a splash in the realty market.

Rogers Communications, a mobile and cable company, recently announced its application to become a licensed real estate brokerage throughout Canada. The company will relaunch its website, Zoocasa.com, in May as a shopping site for homebuyers.

For those looking to buy or sell a home, a self storage unit is an easy, safe and affordable way to store valuable items during a move.

"What we've decided is our next evolution of Zoocasa is to go from home-search with smarts to home-and-agent-search with smarts," said Carolyn Beatty, the president of Zoocasa.

The relaunched site looks to take the homebuyers market digital, allowing consumers looking for houses online to find an agent they can trust to finish the deal. Zoocasa states it hopes to provide one of the most extensive property information guides consumers can find.

Self storage can be a smart way to hang on to valuable items without taking up room in a house or apartment. For Toronto storage solutions, there's no better than Jiffy Self Storage. Those interested in self storage should check out the affordable rates on Jiffy's website, where they can also enter to win a free iPad 3.
