The plan surrounding the construction of a casino in Toronto's downtown area has reached its next point as Mayor Rob Ford's executive committee will soon decide whether or not to approve the plan. According to the Toronto Sun, the committee will meet April 15 and 16 to discuss their options. If they choose to give the construction the OK, it will likely require a subsequent council vote next year before any final decisions can be made. City Manager Joe Pennachetti said the casino is expected to generate between $111 million and $148 million; however, not all the numbers have been reviewed.
Not everyone has been on board with Ford's plan since its introduction, and many government officials have come forward in opposition in the past few weeks. According to the Toronto Star, Toronto city Councillor Floria Luby recently stated she will be voting "no" due to the fact most residents don't want it to happen. Many of them think it will draw criminals to the area and negatively affect their communities.
If any Toronto businesses in the area are looking to move into a bigger space, it might be a good idea to consider renting a Toronto business storage or Toronto document storage space to keep their items.
Jiffy offers businesses plenty of options for Toronto storage, whether one needs to store filing cabinets or office supplies. What's more, the company is currently holding a contest for a new iPad 3, which is a device that just about every business person could use to help improve productivity.
