Self storage facility owner offers free space to tornado victims

Last week, tornadoes stormed through Alabama, Kentucky, Tennessee and Indiana, leaving many homeless and with no place to keep their possessions. Fortunately, at least one kind self storage facility owner stepped up to the plate.

Storage facility owner Bama Clines told survivors of the hurricane that they could store things in his facility for up to one month free of charge after the disaster, according to WAFF in Alabama. A number of people have already taken Clines up on his offer, though the storage facility owner said that their were still units available for those who needed them.

Clines said that storage units were a good way to keep valuable possessions dry, which could be a big issue for those who had their homes damaged or roofs torn off. While Clines is not going out to sites in order to pick up the belongings, as there'd simply be too many people to help, he is offering the space to those who need it.

Although the people of Northern Alabama and many other areas across the country have a lot of work ahead of them after the disaster, community members like Clines are making things a bit easier for them to get back on their feet.
