Philanthropists to be honored at University of Toronto

The city of Toronto is filled with some of the brightest, most innovative minds in the world, and as such, several of them will soon be presented with honorary degrees.

Later this month, soon after approximately 12,500 students graduate from the University of Toronto, their alma mater will recognize several people for contributions they've made to the city.

"The University of Toronto students, faculty, staff and alumni are committed to building stronger communities in Canada and throughout the world," said U of T president David Naylor. "These honorary degrees reflect and celebrate that commitment."

The list of those receiving honorary degrees from the university includes Paul Martin, Sonia and Arthur Labatt, Koh Yong Guan and John Daniels. All of the award winners are recognized by the U of T as philanthropists and distinguished volunteers.

While Jiffy hasn't been fortunate enough to receive an honorary degree, we do know something about awards, as our storage units have been credited with the Consumer Choice Award 15 times and the editors at Toronto Life Magazine have recently bestowed us with the distinction of best storage company in the GTA.
