Toronto marathon not expected to have increased security personnel

Despite the devastation following the Boston Marathon bombings, Toronto officials recently announced they don't have any plans on bringing in additional security officers for the city's GoodLife Marathon in May. According to the Toronto Star, Constable Wendy Drummond said city officials will be reevaluating the situation; however, she doesn't believe anything will be done since there doesn't appear to be any connection between Toronto and the Boston incident. GoodLife Marathon race director Jay Glassman told the source it will be important for officials to wait until all the facts are in before any final decisions are made.

According to the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Toronto City Manager Joe Pennachetti said he and other officials' main concern is making sure the runners and the public feel safe not only in the weeks leading up to the GoodLife marathon but the day of the event as well.

If any business managers have documents or items they would like to put into a Toronto document storage space in the meantime to give them some peace of mind, it is suggested they do so.

Jiffy offers businesses plenty of options for Toronto storage, whether one needs to store filing cabinets or office supplies. What's more, the company is currently holding a contest for a new iPad 3, which is a device that just about every business person could use to help improve productivity.
