Small business owners see retirement as bittersweet

Small business owners often find it hard to retire, as their businesses keep them mentally and physically active, retirement hits and often many do not know what to do with all the extra time.

Those who currently own a small business should consider cutting costs by running their business operations out of a self storage unit, instead of paying for the high price of rent for office space.

“Money will always be a concern, but the biggest thing for me is what I’m going to do all day to stay busy and mentally fit,” Dean Drevniok, president of Frecon Construction, a general contracting company, told the Toronto Star.

Drevniok is preparing for retirement by easing into it, cutting down his workload as each week goes by but still remaining connected to the business to keep his mind involved.

Jiffy offers businesses plenty of options for Toronto storage, whether one needs to store filing cabinets or office supplies. What's more, the company is currently holding a contest for a new iPad 3, which is a device that just about every business person could use to help improve productivity.
