Canada Post losing its value

The age of the internet has brought about some concerns for postal services throughout North America as well as some significant monetary losses. According to Maclean's, the Canada Post has been on the decline as more consumers are choosing to keep in touch with one another through email and social media rather than letter writing. As a result, the Post has fallen by more than 6.4 percent within the last year. Jon Hamilton, Canada Post's general manager of communications, told the source this drop doesn't come as a surprise. 

Although most analysts don't think that postage will ever be a lucrative business again, there are still some people who prefer to write and collect letters. For those who have acquired loads of mail over the years, renting a Toronto document space would be a way to organize all of their letters. 

One Canadian photographer was recently awarded for her historical work and will be featured on Canadian postage stamps. According to the BBC, the mail service debuted one of Margaret Watkins' photos, which originally debuted in 1919, to honor the deceased shutter bug.
