A clutter-free open house could trigger a bidding war

The real estate market in Toronto is booming, and bidding wars have become "the norm" for those seeking to buy a house in the city, reports Moneyville.ca.

Brothers Jaff and Brad Robertson have seen this phenomenon firsthand. The two professional real estate developers frequently have to compete with other buyers in order to get homes at the price they want, according to the news source.

Bidding wars can result in a major windfall for those selling the house, as was the case for one homeowner who got $110,000 more than the asking price after eight bidders began fighting over it. Those selling their house need to stage their homes correctly in order to get the best price possible.

This is where self storage facilities come in. There are many solutions for affordable self storage in Toronto and other major cities, where homeowners can store furniture and items they don't want cluttering up their home during an open house. Storage containers are also a great option for those who have recently sold a house but are waiting to move into a new home, as this can free up space.

Jiffy Self Storage, a leader in Toronto storage solutions, is currently running a contest on their website for a free iPad 3. Visitors to the site simply need to match a few Canadian landmarks and they'll be entered to win the iPad or one of several other prizes.
