Toronto business owners to renew licenses

Toronto businesses such as barber shops and tattoo parlors might be closing their doors unexpectedly if they don’t follow new licensing rules, according to the Toronto Star. Stu Kay, owner of the Lower East Side and Abstract Arts tattoo studios, told the source that he supports the idea, however, it might affect some businesses negatively.

“It’s a double-edged sword,” Kay said. “We’re in favour of a lot of this stuff, but our concern is this onslaught of laws and requirements is going to discourage people from coming forward.”

If a business has to close down while its employees acquire new licenses, they can rent a Toronto storage space to hold their items.

According to Toronto’s community website, business owners can find out more information and update their licenses online.

Jiffy offers businesses plenty of options for Toronto storage, whether one needs to store filing cabinets or office supplies. What’s more, the company is currently holding a contest for a new iPad 3, which is a device that just about every business person could use to help improve productivity.
