Job creation up across Canada in November

Following weak gains in October, Canada's job market recovered as November posted the highest gains in eight months. According to Statistics Canada's Labor Force Survey, the economy added 59,300 new jobs in November and the jobless rate fell to 7.2 percent, down from 7.4 percent in October and accounting for the lowest level since March. The economy only added 1,800 jobs in October.

With many Canadians starting their own businesses, contributing to the uptick in job creations, small business owners are encouraged to utilize the money saving options of self storage to help continue the positive economic trend.

According to the report, service sectors created 65,700 new positions, only to be offset by the goods-producing sector losing 6,200 jobs and the manufacturing sector losing 19,600 positions. the report also showed that employment gains in the past six months have averaged 20,700.
