Gas savings can be spent elsewhere

Fluctuating gas prices have a lasting impact on many small businesses throughout Canada, and luckily, the news is good, for now. Prices decreased in May, after the record high of $1.35/litre average hit in April.

Small business owners looking to trim costs, especially with wavering gas prices, should consider cheap storage in place of expensive office space. The money freed up from rent can be placed toward getting a business's name out there.

“But when you find other areas to make small savings – such as cutting back on your phone plan or investigating how much you’re really spending on bank fees – that combination of savings can truly add up,” Kim Inglis, investment advisor and portfolio manager at Canaccord Wealth Management in Vancouver told the Toronto Star. "A lot of the time, when the economy is down, advertising takes a dip too, but that’s often the best time to be marketing your business."

Inglis explained that the cost to advertise will also decrease, opening options for Canadian entrepreneurs on a tight budget.

Jiffy offers businesses plenty of options for Toronto storage, whether one needs to store filing cabinets or office supplies. What's more, the company is currently holding a contest for a new iPad 3, which is a device that just about every business person could use to help improve productivity.
